Hailing from Saint Louis, Missouri BROOKROYAL has been tearing it up and turning heads in their hometown scene for the last two years. An idea starting back in 2004 as nothing more than a "fun project" BROOKROYAL did not officially begin until May of 2007. When Jack Wiese, Jason Zykan, Bon Lohman, Adam Stewart, & David Brown decided to fuse their musical talent, passion and compelling stage presence to form the band BROOKROYAL. Lead singer Jack Weise believes: "Brookroyal is five best friends that not only found each other but were given the opportunity to create music and perform together." Anyone who has seen BROOKROYAL live will attest to the band taking full advantage of this opportunity as their collective energy, combined talent and love of music is injected, and is very evident, in each show. BROOKROYAL exploded onto the St. Louis scene with a mission to rise quickly and that they did.
Since 2007, BROOKROYAL has steadily gained fans, ticket sales and radio airplay. While writing music for their first LP, "Motives" in 2008, the band wrote a song that spread through the airwaves and changed their status from "local band" to the highly popular, regional touring rock band widely known as BROOKROYAL. The song, entitled "There Was a Time", created label interest, generated record breaking ticket sales for local and regional shows and continues to be played on KPNT 105.7 the Point, earning several spins due to its popularity. With the buzz around them and their live performance turning heads they quickly rose to share the stage with such acts as Disturbed, Evanescence, Seether, 3 Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin, Shinedown, Hollywood Undead, Staind, Filter, STORYoftheYEAR, Madina Lake, Drowning Pool, Royal Bliss, Adema, Sum 41, Chevelle, & many, many others.
After honing their writing craft a bit more, and playing countless shows in support of their first album "Motives" the demand for a new record was widely growing. The band continued to show their tremendous work ethic and entered the studio again in February of 09. The highly anticipated release of the "There Was a Time EP" to be released on August 23rd 2009 and buzz behind their extremely high energy driven live shows as well as impressive ticket sales, BROOKROYAL's "There Was A Time EP" went on to become the number one selling record in St. Louis in its first week of sales. BROOKROYAL is sure to be a band to watch as they continue to grow larger and larger. In addition, the music industry has shown a growing interest in this break-out band. Their latest single, "Crown the Youth" is currently impacting radio and gains requests and spins daily.
